Champions of Ole Red’s nationwide Battle of the Bands, the duo has opened for Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Little Texas, and Neal McCoy, performed VIP sets for Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, and Luke Bryan, and taken the stage at iconic venues and festivals including House of Blues, CMA Fest, Hard Rock Tampa, and Runaway Country Music Festival. 2026 marks a turning point for Diamond Dixie with a new EP that ushers in their most confident and fully realized era to date. Written after a year of playing more than 40 live shows, the project was born from a desire to refresh their setlist with songs that more accurately reflect who they are now — both as artists and as sisters. “The majority of these songs were definitely written from real life experiences,” Bianca shares. “When writing for this EP, we wanted to get very specific with some lyrics based on true events because we realized there’s a level of relatability with the oddly specific details.” Rooted in modern country with clear classic rock influence, the EP captures the same high-energy intensity fans experience at a Diamond Dixie live show. 

 

At the core of Diamond Dixie is sisterhood. “Growing up together, we were always super close and did everything together,” Gabriela says. “Once we both got into music, it became very easy for us to find harmonies together and feed off of each other’s stage presence because we had this kind of sisterly bond.” That bond shapes everything, from their onstage chemistry to the way they create and communicate through music.

 

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, the sisters’ musical journey began at home, learning guitar from their father at a young age. Music quickly became an emotional outlet. “Our dad would always tell us that if we had a bad day at school, just pick up the guitar and start playing,” Gabriela reflects. “In hindsight, he was teaching us how to put our emotions into music.” Influenced by their dad’s love of ’70s and ’80s hard rock and their mom’s preference for country, Diamond Dixie’s sound formed at the intersection of grit and storytelling. Early performances at school events, church functions, and community festivals instilled discipline, confidence, and a fearless approach to the stage.

 

Renowned for their live shows, Diamond Dixie has learned how to command a stage under any circumstance. “The show must go on,” Bianca says. “You’ve got to figure out a way to work with whatever issues you have, but still put on a show in a way that makes the crowd not even notice anything is going wrong.” Watching seasoned headliners further shaped their philosophy. “The person on stage is the one that directs the whole energy of the show,” Bianca explains. “If you’re having fun, the crowd is going to have fun. If you’re telling an emotional story, the crowd is going to feel that too.”

 

Now entering 2026 with clarity, momentum, and creative freedom, Diamond Dixie stands at the beginning of a defining era — one built on confidence, resilience, and songs shaped by real life. Their sisterhood isn’t just the foundation of their sound; it’s the driving force behind everything they do.
